Self Confidence is What it’s About

Let’s start with Helen Mirren’s attitude about herself. She is honestly one of the most self-confident women out there! She does not boast about her beauty or even think she is among one of the most beautiful women. She just feels good about herself and carries herself that way. She says that your personality and beliefs in yourself are what make a person beautiful. On a side note, we know that stress plays a vital role in the way our skin reacts, so maybe we can all take a page out of Helen Mirren’s book and learn to love ourselves just a little bit more, wrinkles and all. Who knows? As an added benefit, we may just prevent new wrinkles or blemishes from popping up!

The Beauty Routine

Morning-Routines

Of course, a woman as beautiful as Helen Mirren has to have some type of beauty routine, right? If you were picturing her wasting hours in front of her vanity to perfect her skin, you are in for a big surprise. She spends a mere few minutes each day on her skin! According to Helen, as long as you are taking the right steps, you don’t have to spend hours in front of the mirror. So what does she consider crucial to her everyday routine? It’s as simple as washing and moisturizing her face. Yes, that is it! Shocking, right? There are no expensive products or fancy techniques that she uses. She simply makes sure that she cleans her skin well every day and night. That is something simple that everyone can do! Wash your face with the right cleanser every morning and night – then there is no risk of dirt accumulation; clogged pores; and unsightly blemishes. What else does she do? Moisturization was the key for her beauty. Moisturizer is what makes her feel beautiful; it’s not makeup or beautiful dresses, believe it or not!

What else does Helen Mirren recommend? A healthy lifestyle because what we put into our bodies is reflected on our faces. Our skin is our biggest organ, so how we conduct our lives, including what we eat and what we surround ourselves with has a large impact on how we look. Helen suggests:

  • Do not smoke! There are more reasons to count as to why this habit is a poor choice, but if you want healthy, beautiful skin – find a way to quit now!
  • Stay hydrated! Water makes up our bodies so it makes sense that your facial skin would rely on it! Hydrating inside is just as important as hydrating your external skin. If you want glowing skin, you need to drink 8 glasses of water a day.
  • Get your beauty sleep! Even with her hectic schedule, Helen gets 8 hours of beauty sleep every night. We all need it – this is the time that your skin’s cells replenish. If you don’t sleep, your cells don’t turn over and you are left with sagging skin with puffy eyes and a depleted self-esteem.

Helen Mirren should be an inspiration to us all – it does not take a lot of hard work or expensive products to look beautiful. It simply takes a few minutes of time for yourself and proper choices for your health to look as stunning as her. Helen Mirren stunned the red carpet in Tokyo and will continue to do so throughout the year. If you want to follow in her footsteps, it is time to take your beauty regimen serious – take time for yourself and love yourself just like Helen Mirren does!
